Mokulele Elementary School is a Tribes school where all learners succeed in a safe, positive place that values relationships and relevant learning.

Our Mission:

The mission of Mokulele Elementary School is to provide our students with the skills, knowledge and resiliency to be successful life-long learners in a rapidly changing world.

Our School Logo:

"Mokulele" is the Hawaiian interpretation of a "flying ship" or airplane.
The nickname "Flyers" and the airplane represent our school's tie
to the United States Air Force since the school is located on Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam in Honolulu.

Our History:

Mokulele Elementary School, located on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Honolulu, was established in 1961 on land leased from the federal government to provide an education for the growing number of military families stationed in Hawaii during the Vietnam War. The significance of the logo represents the Hawaiian interpretation of the word Mokulele meaning "flying ship or airplane". The nickname "flyers" and the airplane refer to the United States Air Force Base on which the school is located. Our school colors are blue and yellow.

Mokulele currently serves students in grade Pre-Kindergarten to six. Our staff is committed to meeting the educational needs of all students enrolled as we continue our efforts to bring quality to our education program. We believe that communication between parents and school personnel is basic to helping every child achieve his or her academic and social potential. We invite you to become a contributing and integral part of our school.
